Blog Post #10: A memorable speaker

A time where I remember hearing an amazing speaker was probably my high school definition. The senior class was able to vote for a teacher to speak on our behalf/about their experience with us concluded from over the years. Mr. Erck was the Sociology/Psychology teacher and he did an amazing job. Everybody loved him so much because of how laid back he is, and he is in a similar age range, only being 22 at the time. His speaking was very memorable to me because you could tell he had been practicing his speech for weeks and making it as perfected as he possibly could. His presentation included sentimental memories, like his classes and our senior prank that wasn't so fun to clean up. He brought up the troublemakers of the class and everybody laughed. He brought up memories that are priceless and everybody cried. It was a very emotional day for everybody, and he was the perfect person to give the speech. I still remember one quote he had states that has stuck with me ever since, "If this isn't nice, then I don't know what is." This quote has stuck with me because I am a very sentimental and nostalgic person, and I mourn memories the second they happen; so being able to just sit there and breathe whenever I remember this quote is very special to me.
