In the article, “The AI ‘hivemind’: Why so many student essays sound alike”  I would argue that this article lies as an argumentative article. This article highlights the fact that every student’s writing uses the same key words and sounds similar grammatically, and this is because of AI. The author argues that homogeneity within the classroom was making the writing inauthentic and nonpersonal pertaining to the course. The solution in this article from the professor that noticed the AI classwork was to assign step by step videos on a new concept learned by students to present to the class as homework; which creates a more personalized sense of self in the classroom and a better environment for the teachers grading the work.
